Mostly just cleaning things up and refactoring. I don't like letting AI write code for me, but I do find it useful as a second set of eyes to find things that can be improved. Lately I've been concentrating on the database code, and I'm happy to say Claude, Copilot, and Grok all tell me it's very solid, so I think I can move on to other things.
- Fix the "like" button occasionally not remembering that you clicked on it.
- Rename post "top" sort to "hot" to reflect the age component of that score.
- RSS feed fixes:
- Stop using the post URL as the GUID.
- The RSS feed URL now accepts the same
sortparameter as the front page.
- Did you know Gyrate is one of the only websites of its kind that allows you to change your username as often as you want? If you make a significant change (character case changes don't count), you'll get an icon next to your username and a username change counter will appear on your profile for a while so everyone knows you're an expert at using Gyrate's advanced trolling features.
- Add
Cache-Controlheaders everywhere. - Many frontend improvements, including switching to Iosevka fonts.
you should let me submit my own username with each post so i can reply to myself multiple times with different names in the same thread
I don't know if I trust people to come up with funny/offensive enough usernames.

I'd ban you for that if I knew how!
