I guess Gyrate has officially been back for a year now. You can tell because everyone who created an account on day zero has a birthday cake badge next to their name today.

Surprising Observations

• Most users just accept one of the suggested usernames and never change it.
• Most users post pseudonymously all the time.
• Almost nobody uses the Gravatar/Libravatar icon feature.
• I've barely had to spend any time dealing with spam.
• There are constant requests for several URLs that haven't worked for at least twenty years.
• I barely told anyone about this project, so it was surprising to see how many people from the old Gyrate days discovered it on their own.
