haven't tried this yet. i've worked a few times in figma to develop some mockups for a client, but it has mostly just been naive layout and user flow ideation. today i started work on another user flow project for them, but i decided to start learning how to build components. figma. sucks. nads. the component system is rudimentary, and requires fragile hacks to make things modular. it's also abstracted away from html and css, so not easily translatable to implemented markup.

webstudio is supposed to be a visual editor for html and css, so i guess kind of like dreamweaver but supporting modern syntax and features. it also apparently can make requests to apis, so it seems possible to throw up dummy endpoints with dummy responses to populate things with data.

in the past i just used inkscape to wireframe things, but it was annoying managing svg objects and layers, so i'm hoping this shit won't suck as much as figma.
