I actually think it looks better (more balanced) with the likes and comments on the right, but nobody else does that, so I'm not sure if the internet police will come after me for doing it. Let's try it!

And I think the forum software I'm thinking of is Discourse (e.g. https://community.letsencrypt.org/).
